Australia Wins Test Series In Caribbean by 2-0

In The Third Test,After Australia winning They have won the series by 2-0 In the Home of West-Indies . Australia won the third and final test against West Indies by 75 runs on Friday to secure a 2-0 series win despite a valiant second innings effort from the home side.Set a daunting target of 370 to win, West Indies resumed on 173 for five and were bowled out for 294, shortly before lunch on the final day.Australia captain Michael Clarke finished with five wickets for only the second time in his test career while his counterpart Darren Sammy scored a lively 61, his best test score. The chase ended when Sammy top-edged Nathan Lyon, as he tried to sweep the spinner, and Ben Hilfenhaus pocketed the catch to prompt celebrations from the tourists. The Dominican crowd had appreciated a good and entertaining effort by the West Indian tail with local favourite Shane Shillingford making his best test score of 31 in a 49 run last wicket stand with Sammy. The target always looked too much for West Indies on a pitch that offered turn and bounce for the spinners but West Indies may wonder what might have been had Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Darren Bravo survived the final session on Thursday.Their 110 run partnership offered a glimmer of hope to the Caribbean team but Australia never really looked like letting slip their grip on the series. The first innings century from Australia wicketkeeper Matthew Wade proved to be decisive in the final assesment, the tail-end resistance he led taking the total from 169-7 to 328.As in the victory in the first test in Barbados it was the ability of Australia's lower order to make key contributions that proved the difference.Clarke's contribution with the ball on the last two days was a further reminder that while Australia may not have the world-class line-up of a few years ago, they still bat deep and have plenty of options with the ball.A fourth innnings total of 294 for West Indies on a surface that had been tough to score on, was a good effort and with Sammy's strokeplay at the close giving a supportive crowd something to cheer, the Caribbeans at least lost in the right manner. While West Indies now head off for a tough three test series in England, Australia will not play tests until South Africa visit in November.

Tito Vilanova Takes Coaching Of Catalans

Tito Vilanova has been appointed As Barcelona's Permanent Coach as The management excepts some trophies from him too just like Pep Did.Barcelona have announced that assistant coach Tito Vilanova will succeed Pep Guardiola as the permanent manager of the Catalan giants.
The 42-year-old is a surprise choice but the appointment does follow Barcelona’s philosophy of hiring from within. Vilanova was assistant coach during Guardiola’s tenure as manager and the Barca board will be hoping he can deliver the same trophy success as his former boss.Pep Guardiola quit as Barcelona boss head coach today after four successful years in charge but on the backs of failing to deliver another Champions League and La Liga title after being unable to defeat Chelsea or Real Madrid at the Nou Camp this past week. The news of Vilanova’s appointment came at the press conference just moments after Guardiola resigned.Vilanova came through the ranks at the Barcelona academy with Pep Guardiola and worked alongside him at Barcelona B before moving into his current position in 2008 when Guardiola initially became boss.

Pep Guardiola Era Comes To an End

Pep Guardiola The world's Best Team Barcelona's Coach Is leaving at the end of the season after the Copa Del Ray final.Pep Guardiola is set to announce he is quitting Barcelona at a press conference this lunchtime. He informed his squad at Friday's training session that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season. According to reports from Spain Guardiola, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is understood to have told the club president, Sandro Rosell, of his decision on Thursday that he did not wish to sign a new one and will leave after the Copa del Rey final. The 41-year-old manager has led Barcelona to 13 trophies since taking over at the beginning of the 2008-09 season, including two Champions Leagues and three Spanish league titles.Guardiola has preferred to sign only one-year contracts for each of the previous two seasons and the delay in agreeing to renew for next season has suggested for the past few weeks that he was unlikely to stay.During the past week, Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage by Chelsea and suffered a home defeat by Real Madrid that will almost certainly cost them the Spanish title.Guardiola stepped up from Barca B manager to the first-team in 2008 and has gone on to become the most successful coach in the club's history. But the setback against Chelsea came only 72 hours after Barça's hopes of retaining their league title were dashed following a 2-1 defeat at home to arch rivals Real Madrid. That loss left them seven points behind José Mourinho's men with four games remaining.
Guardiola led Barça to the Primera Division title in his first season in charge after masterminding a squad overhaul which saw the likes of Ronaldinho and Deco sold and a greater emphasis placed on youth.
The results were immediate. Not only did Barça win the league – the highlight being a 6-2 thrashing of Madrid at the Bernabéu – but they also claimed the Copa del Rey and Champions League.
The 2009-10 campaign began with further success in the Spanish Super Cup, Uefa Super Cup and Fifa World Club Cup as Barça became the first club side to win six major trophies in one calendar year. They failed to defend their Champions League crown after being eliminated by Mourinho-led Internazionale at the semi-final stage but retained their league title with a record points total of 99.With Madrid recruiting Mourinho in a bid to end Barcelona's run of success, the 2010-11 season was supposed to pose new challenges for Guardiola. But the former Spain midfielder, having signed David Villa to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, guided Barça to the league title once more and they backed that up by winning the Champions League again by defeating Manchester United at Wembley. The Spanish Super Cup and Uefa Super Cup were won, as was the Fifa Club World Cup, but league setbacks against Getafe and Osasuna undermined their title challenge.Barça have qualified for the final of the Copa del Rey next month in which they will meet Athletic Bilbao in what is set to be Guardiola's final game in charge.Speculation has begun over his potential successor with Ernesto Valverde, Marcelo Bielsa and Laurent Blanc all thought to be in the frame. As for Guardiola, he is expected to take a sabbatical from the game despite being linked with numerous jobs across Europe.

Record hopes dashed
The Germans denied Real a crack at a record 10th European Cup and will meet Chelsea at the Allianz Arena on May 19th, after they stunned holders Barcelona on Tuesday 3-2 on aggregate.Real keeper Iker Casillas kept Real hopes alive by saving efforts from Toni Kroos and Philipp Lahm in the shootout but Sergio Ramos skied his penalty over the bar and Schweinsteiger rifled the Bavarians through.

Night to remember
"I have not witnessed something like that in 40 years of professional football," said Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. "This tops everything we experienced in the 70s and 80s."The home side had quickly cancelled out Bayern's 2-1 first-leg win when Ronaldo netted a sixth-minute penalty after a handball in the area and then produced a smart finish from the edge of the area eight minutes later.  Bayern pulled a goal back in the 27th minute when Arjen Robben also netted from the spot after Mario Gomez had been bundled over by Pepe. After the break, both sides were more cautious but with extra time approaching Gomez squandered a chance to send Bayern through when he took too long to control and Khedira was able to get back and smother his weak shot.Extra time was draining on Real, who had all but wrapped up La Liga with a 2-1 win at Barca on Saturday, and that tiredness proved costly at the end.
