I'll Never Manage England now - Redknapp

Harry Redknapp must wave goodbye to the England job
Tottenhum Boss Hary Redknapp believes he may never have an opportunity to manage England after the Football Association opted to appoint Roy Hodgson this week.
Redknapp was regarded as favourite for the role following the sudden departure of Fabio Capello in February, before the FA surprisingly unveiled Hodgson on Tuesday. Redknapp, though, insists he is fully supportive of Hodgson ahead of Euro 2012, despite holding a fear that he may never guide the national team to a major tournament himself."I don't think it will ever happen now," said Redknapp. "Roy has four years and I hope he sees it out and has great success at the Euros. He will select a squad that is capable of giving it a real go and I think he'll do well.'I'm fed up of hearing my name mentioned now. I'm history with that job. Roy deserves it, he's got it and I'm sure he'll make a great job of it."I'm looking forward to a summer holiday as I've had a difficult year. I'm looking forward to having a break and going away with my wife, before coming back and watching the Euros."Redknapp was not contacted by the FA over the position, but says he understands the decision and is willing to move on swiftly in order to steer Spurs back toward a Champions League spot next season.I'm not disappointed at all, it's done," Redknapp said. "End of story, move on. Get behind the manager and forget about me. They made their minds up, and it's good enough."It's saved me making a decision, because I'm very happy at Tottenham. If they'd interviewed me I don't think Roy would have wanted it. I don't think I'd have done either if they were going to interview someone else."There's lots of lads about cleverer than me managing lower division clubs. I'm lucky, I'm managing one of the top four clubs in the country. I get very well paid, I've got a fantastic job, so I don't feel anyone owes me anything. I didn't wake up on Monday morning and think: 'What's happened to my life, I'm not the England manager'."

Muamba Returned From His Cardiac arrest To attend Reebok Stadium

Muamba Before The Kick Off,Of Bolton Vs Tottenham attended The Reebok Stadium To give his Hand-shake to the spectators.Muamba was speaking at the Reebok Stadium before kick-off in the Premier League match between relegation-threatened Bolton and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 24-year-old Muamba, born in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo), collapsed during Bolton’s FA Cup match against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on March 17.
He was technically dead for 78 minutes and unconscious in hospital for three days. However, he was eventually released from the hospital last month.
“I’m getting stronger every day,” former England Under-21 international Muamba said Wednesday.
“I am happy to be back, I was overwhelmed with the support I got and it helps me every single day,” added Muamba, who was applauded as he walked onto the pitch. “I’ve still got six or seven boxes of cards to go through that I haven’t opened yet.
“I wish I was playing today, obviously my circumstances are not helping at the moment but I’m sure the boys will go out and give their best today.”
Unfortunately for Muamba, he saw Bolton remain in the bottom three of the Premier League following a 4-1 defeat by Spurs.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle, speaking after the match, said welcoming Muamba back to the ground had been a deeply moving experience for everyone at Bolton.
“To see Fabrice here – he came in before the game and it was quite emotional, as you can imagine,” Coyle explained.
“We are absolutely delighted with his recovery. That was paramount for Fabrice and his family, I have always said that. It was fantastic to see him and for everyone else to see how he is recovering.
“He is not just a team-mate, he is a close friend because of the character and personality he is.”
Although the speed of Muamba’s recovery has amazed his doctors, it is still uncertain if he will ever play professional football again.
“I think it is too early to say but he is certainly going in the right direction in terms of improving,” said Coyle when asked about the prospect of Muamba resuming his career.
“That will be in consultation with the medical people. God willing he will (play again) but it is far too early to answer that question.”

Mumbai Indians Wins a Thrilling match Against Neigbours

Mumbai Indians Had A nail-Bitting  Game Against Pune Warriors as The match did Go ahead to the last Over.

Mumbai Indians defended a small total of 120 and dashed Pune Warriors' hopes of scoring a second victory against it in the DLF-IPL-V and won by one run at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium here on Thursday.
The match swung like a pendulum after Michael Clarke and Steven Smith fell to off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha by the 10th over.
The MI spinners exploited the slow nature of the pitch to their advantage and sensed a last chance when Lasith Malinga hit the top of the middle stump of Sourav Ganguly and followed it up with the wicket of Wayne Parnell.
The seventh wicket pair of Mithun Manhas and Bhuvneshwar Kumar needed 12 runs in the last over to take Pune past the finishing line.
Bhuvneshwar hit a boundary off Munaf Patel off the penultimate ball but the home team lost by a run as it could manage only two runs off the last ball. It was MI's sixth win in the league and will stay in the third position in the table.
Earlier, left-arm seamer Ashish Nehra vindicated his captain's faith in him in an almost make-or-mar match for the Warriors.
Hammered by Sachin Tendulkar and James Franklin for 14 runs in the last of the Power Play overs, Nehra demonstrated his ability to surprise the batsmen striking crucial blows in his second spell and paved the way for his team's comeback.
Coming into the match with a meagre return of six wickets at 48.67, Nehra was seen to be the weak link in the four-pronged seam attack spearheaded by Ashoke Dinda.
Warriors skipper Ganguly began with left-arm spinner Murali Kartik, deployed five bowlers in the Power Play and exercised a fair amount of control over the MI openers with Dinda's superb first over even keeping Tendulkar quiet.
It was a free-hit offer when left-arm seamer Parnell overstepped that gave the freedom for Franklin to swing his bat for the first boundary of the match in the third over.
Soon Tendulkar sort of settled scores with Dinda hitting him for three fours and MI touched an average of seven punishing Nehra in the sixth.
The pitch appeared distinctly sluggish, but the actual threat emerged from Bhuvneshwar Kumar who first broke MI's promising first wicket stand at 50. It was the third half-century partnership between Tendulkar and Franklin.
Rohit Sharma was run out by some smart work by Smith and MI had lost its in-form batsman. Nehra's double-strike — removing Tendulkar and Robin Peterson — put the host in firm control.
Mumbai Indians added a mere 47 runs from the seventh to the 14th overs and lost three vital wickets.
Nehra conceded just five runs in the second spell of three overs and Kumar landed the ball at the right areas to finish with excellent figures of two for nine in three overs.
After several misses Malinga hit two big blows that produced 26 runs for the eighth wicket for MI to set Warriors almost a run-a-ball target.

Real Madrid wins 32nd Spanish Title

Mourinho: "We deserve this title because we worked very hard for it; we must now celebrate"
Real Madrid's 32nd Title After 4 Years Of Waiting Came to an end as They were at their best in this 2011-2012 LIGABBVA.It was also coach Jose Mourinho's first here and seventh in four different countries.
Real sewed up the title with two matches to spare as Gonzalo HiguaÃn, Mesut Ozil and Ronaldo scored in their 3-0 victory over the Europa League finalists Athletic Bilbao to take the trophy back to their home Santiago Barnebeu.
Barcelona knew that they would not be able to win the league a fourth time in succession and their outgoing coach Pep Guardiola had conceded the title after Real Madrid's 2-1 victory more than a week ago.
All that the Catalans could do was to make the Madrid side to wait a little longer by scoring a 7-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano Sunday and by beating Malaga 4-0 Wednesday.
It was a matter of time once they took the field against Atletico. Ronaldo muffed a penalty but later scored his 44th goal of the league by nodding home an Alonso corner.
Madrid have lost only two games the whole season, against Barcelona and Levante. if they win their final two games, they will reach 100 points, overhauling Barcelona's record of 99, reports the Guardian.
Real have already overhauled the League record of 107 goals and they now have 115, Ronaldo scoring 44 of these. The Portuguese is a shade behind Lionel Messi in the race for the Golden Boot, the Argentinean's hat-trick against Malaga taking his tally to 46. Messi's 68 in all competitions, left behind German Gerd Miller's European record set in 1972-73.
As for Mourinho, this is another landmark. He has now won the league title in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain. He is not the first coach to do so as is often believed. Ernst Happel and the current Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni also won the title in four different countries - Happel in Holland, Belgium, Germany and Austria and Trapattoni in Italy, Germany, Portugal and Austria. The Croatian coach Tomislav Ivic won the Yugoslav, Dutch, Belgian, Greek, Portuguese and French league titles.
Real's players went into rapturous celebration after the final whistle, though they will officially celebrate in Madrid Thursday.
Mourinho showed seven fingers, signifying the number of league titles he has won. It includes FC Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan.
"This was the most difficult one," said Mourinho, whose team has a seven-point lead over Barcelona with two rounds left.
"The players are all very happy after 10 months of fighting, of training, of games, the objective was to be champion so we are happy to have achieved it," Cristiano Ronaldo said.
"To have beaten a team like Barca makes this league win more difficult. It's much better to win against one of the best teams -it makes it better."
"I have two Golden Boots at home. So if I win the third, great. If not, not a problem," said Ronaldo.
"It's been a long hard season but we've finally done it and I just hope it's the first of many with this young squad, we dedicate it to the fans," said captain Iker Casillas.
"We're very happy," said Sergio Ramos, who last Wednesday had experienced vastly different emotions when he missed a penalty in the Champions League semifinal shootout defeat against Bayern Munich.
"It's been a tough league and Barca were an extraordinary rival, we'll enjoy it now and celebrate it with our fans."
Mourinho again refused to face the Spanish press after the game but spoke to Real Madrid TV.
"It's been a great title for us, no-one has given us anything all season, we've fought from start to finish, the players have been fantastic and deserve it," said the 49-year-old.
"I've won titles before in Portugal, Italy and England but this has been the most difficult of all. I think even Barca, after they've won three titles in a row, know that we deserve this one," he added.
"Barcelona tried," said Guardiola, who is stepping down at the end of the season. "There wasn't much difference. The league is very long and the team that deserves to win, wins. And Real were the deserved winners."

Messi Hat trick As Barcelona Beat Malaga

Messi is now the best goalscorer in all competetions with 68 goals, and has broken the record of Gerd Muller (67 goals) or Pele (66 goals). It came after netting ha trick against Malaga. The match got underway with several chances for both teams, with quick attacking movements upfront for the home side, and a good display by Rondón for Málaga.  The best goal opportunity of the match came in the 11th minute: a powerful shot by Duda which hit the left goalpost, after impressive combinative play from Cazorla, with Portillo being one of the most active players in the first half.
However only minutes later came the first goal of the match, following excellent play between Barcelona’s Iniesta, Messi and Puyol, the latter smashing the ball into the back of the net, straight past Carlos Kameni.  Thirteen minutes in, and Barcelona were one goal up on the leader board.
Málaga’s reaction to the goal was immediate, and following a distance shot by Adriano, saved by the Málaga keeper, the Blues and Whites saw a chance to equalise.  Eliseu passed to Duda, followed by a centre kick from Jesús Gámez in the 26th minute, allowing Rondón to head the ball into Pinto’s net, with the Barcelona keeper unable to save the Venezuelan centre forward’s header.
With the scoreboard equal, both teams were on strong attacking form, as at the start of the game, and several more goal opportunities arose for both.  However a penalty was awarded to Barcelona due to a foul by Jesús Gámez on Iniesta inside the penalty area.  Messi scored in the 34th minute, bringing the home team back on top by 2-1.  Málaga did have another shot at the end of 45 minutes, but were unable to convert it into a goal, leaving the half time score at 2-1 to Barcelona.
The second half began with a fantastic chance for the Blue and Whites, with a frontal shot from Buonanotte that went high, then a defensive error from the locals saw Cazorla and Demichelis both at the point of equalising.  But a yellow card awarded to Duda following an incident with Messi, led to a second penalty for Barcelona.  The Argentinean striker again took the penalty, putting his team 3-1 up in minute 59.
Málaga coach, Manuel Pellegrini, made two substitutions at this point, bringing on Van Nistelrooy and Seba Fernández, to replace Rondón and Buonanotte.  The Dutch striker was at the point of scoring a goal, but his acrobatic shot went above the goal, and another attempt by Duda soon after, was saved by Pinto’s fists.  Barcelona soon took back control, and a long shot from Iniesta was picked up by Messi who scored a hat trick and goal number four for the home team.  In the 64th minute, Barcelona were leading by 4-1, a score which didn’t reflect the game play from either side.
The remainder of the match was taken up by further substitutions by the two teams, and despite a few goal opportunities, including a shot by Van Nistelrooy, saved by Pinto, the match ended without any further highlights.  A head collision between Demichelis and Camacho in stoppage time fortunately didn’t lead to injury for either player, and they both finished the match.
The final result was a defeat for Málaga CF by 4-1, leaving them fourth in the League with 55 points, three above fifth placed Levante.

There was good news for Bolton as they welcomed back Fabrice Muamba to the Reebok Stadium for the first time since he collapsed at Spurs and suffered a cardiac arrest in February.
