The Cuban boxing tradition is respected. Roniel Iglesias brings gold to his country in 64 kg. He dominated in the final Ukrainian Denys Berinchyk (22-15).The bronze was won by Italy's Vincenzo Mangiacapre and Munkh-Erdene Mongol Uranchimeg.

Another gold medal for Britain. Luke Campbell became Olympic champion in the category of less than 56 kg. In the final, the British defeated the Irishman John Joe Nevin (14-11). The Cuban Lazaro Alvarez Estrada and Japanese Satoshi Shimizu grabbed the bronze.

Germany can thank Jan Philipp Rabente, who scored the decisive five minutes after the game and allowed the Germans to win against the Netherlands (2-1) and win Olympic gold. The bronze went to Australia, winner of Britain in the small final (3-1).

The doubled for Mo Farah!

Already crowned on 10 000 m few days ago,  Mo Farah  had a recurrence of 5000 m! The Columbia (13'41'' 66) beat the Ethiopian Dejen Gebremeskel (13'41'' 98) and Kenyan Thomas Longosiwa Pkeimei (13'42'' 36).
