Tiger Woods a weekend move

Tiger Woods birdied 2 early holes at Masters early in his third round Saturday.  Before Tiger Woods tried to make a weekend move at the Masters, he needed to get his long game, his putter and, yes, even his temper back in check. He appeared to be doing all that. Woods made back-to-back birdies on Nos. 3 and 4, cutting an eight-shot deficit to six, with leaders Fred Couples and Jason Dufner still hours away from their tee times. It was a good early rebound for Woods after a second round filled with bad shot-making and missed putts that had him tossing and kicking his clubs by the end. Last year, he trailed by as many as seven but briefly got into the lead on Sunday before finishing fourth. By making up two shots early Saturday, he moved to 1 over for the tournament and up to a tie for 32nd place through five holes after starting the day in 40th. Couples and Dufner had a one-shot lead over a group of six, including Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy. Woods was among the 63 players who made the cut, the most since 1992 the year Couples, now 52, won his only green jacket. Woods has won four since then and appeared to have his game back in shape after two years of personal and professional turmoil. He won in Orlando last month for this first PGA Tour victory in 30 months and was the favorite coming into the year s first major.

Barcelona Capable Of beating Chelsea says Zendon

Zenden A Dutchman Believes that Barcelona are the strongest side to beat Chelsea by any means.
Former Netherlands international Boudewijn Zenden thinks that Barcelona are the team to beat in the Champions League, and added that they have more quality than their semi-final opponents Chelsea The 35-year-old, who wore the jerseys of both the Blaugrana and the Blues during his playing career, feels that the semi-final between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid is less predictable, but is hoping for an all-Spanish final.
"Barcelona are the favourites to win the Champions League. They are a better team than Chelsea. They have more quality and it's a big advantage that the second leg takes place at Camp Nou," Zenden said to COMRadio.
"The tie between Bayern and Madrid is much more even. It's hard to say how that one will go. I'm putting my money on Real, because a final between Barcelona and Madrid would be great. They are the best teams around at the moment."
Zenden has been without a club ever since he left Sunderland in the summer of 2011, but has yet to officially retire.

Speed of thought "Lionel Messi"

For many years Maradona was one half of the great debate as to who was the best ever player: him or Brazilian Pele. But with Messi’s recent record-breaking exploits, many consider him to be a legitimate contender for that theoretic title. And while Maradona has never been shy in publicising his own claims over Pele’s, he is less willing to blow his own trumpet when compared to his Argentine compatriot. “The (best player) lists make me laugh but there is one ability, most of all one, that no one has ever had like Leo and myself: speed of thought,” Maradona told Saturday’s Gazzetta dello Sport. “When I coached him the thing I saw in him that reminded me of myself was the lightning understanding of how the move would develop. “It’s an innate quality worthy of a computer. Had we been able to communicate with someone who thought at the same speed we could have both given even more.” Looking just at today’s players, Maradona says Messi is in a leaue of his own but he has a surprise in his top three. “My rankings would be Messi, (Cristiano) Ronaldo and then Ibra (Zlatan Ibrahimovic) and (Wayne) Rooney together and (Sergio) Kun Aguero is in the top 10 but he’s rising.” Maradona also turned his attentions to his problems with the Italian taxman, repeating his oft stated claim that he does not owe the 38 million euros being claimed. And Maradona insists he’s been treated unfairly. “I’m not a tax evader, I hate tax-evaders and so I’m twice as bitter about this situation,” he said. “I have a decision from 1994 that says I don’t owe anything but I don’t understand why the cards changed on the table. “The thing I want to know is why am I the only one persecuted. “Ferlaino, who signed the contracts with me, lives calmly in Naples, my ex-agent Coppola, who prepared them, comes and goes to Italy without any problems. “And yet every time I put my feet down (in Italy) I’m subjected to the humiliation of being stripped of watches and earrings.” Customs officers have been ordered to seize anything of value from Maradona when he comes to Italy to help pay off his debt.
