Bangladesh Beats Zimbabwe In 4th Match Of Tri-Series

Mahmudullah and Nasir Hossain carried Bangladesh home in Harare, in what was their first win on the tour of Zimbabwe
Bangladesh Have Defeated Zimbabwe In 4th Match Of Tri-Series Happening In Zimbabwe.Bangladesh kept themselves in the running for a spot in the final of the Zimbabwe tri-series, just, with a six-wicket win over Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club. Nasir Hossain held Bangladesh's pursuit of 150 together, responding to Hamilton Masakadza's half-century with an unbeaten 41 to guide his side home with 15 balls to spare. The real credit for the win must go to Bangladesh's bowlers, however, as they scuppered Zimbabwe's charge at the death of their innings to keep the target within reach. An aggressive start from Zimbabwe's batsmen had put the home side in a position to reach at least 160 after Brendan Taylor won his third toss in a row and, once again, decided to bat first. Zimbabwe were well-placed at 125 for 3 at the end of the 16th over, with two set batsmen at the crease before Bangladesh clawed their way back into the game.Left-arm spinner Elias Sunny provided the breakthrough by having Stuart Matsikenyeri caught at long on for an industrious 27, and from that point onwards wickets fell regularly. The complexion of the match changed completely as Mashrafe Mortaza returned to have Masakadza caught behind, heaving at a slower ball, for 56. In the same over Elton Chigumbura's run out reduced Zimbabwe to 132 for 6 before Prosper Utseya was undone by an Abul Hasan slower ball and Graeme Cremer sliced an attempted slog to be caught in the deep off Mortaza, who was named Man of the Match for his efforts.Zimbabwe's stumble, during which they lost five wickets for just 31 runs in the last five overs of their innings, gave Bangladesh a gettable target at which to aim and their openers, Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Ashraful, launched the chase with gusto. Taylor opened the bowling with Prosper Utseya, the offspinner promptly being despatched for two crisp boundaries in his first five balls. Chris Mpofu's first over went for 15, and Bangladesh were flying at 25 without loss.Bangladesh then suffered a stutter, courtesy some needlessly reckless batting from Ashraful, who was bowled attempting a paddle, and some equally casual running from Tamim. Graeme Cremer had Anamul Haque caught behind in his first over to reduce Bangladesh to a wobbly 52 for 3 in the seventh over, but Nasir Hossain then joined captain Mushfiqur Rahim in the middle and the pair set about repairing the innings.Theirs was a watchful partnership, and apart from Mushfiqur's solitary six, their entire stand of 47 was made up of scampered ones and twos. Zimbabwe's hopes will have been briefly raised when a superb pick-up and throw from Vusi Sibanda had Mushfiqur run out for 31, but Hossain and Mahmudullah closed out the match in a flurry of boundaries. They put on an unbeaten 54 at almost 13-runs an over to keep Bangladesh's hopes alive in this series.Earlier, Masakadza had once again provided the backbone of Zimbabwe's innings and his extraordinary run of form has now extended to a century and three fifties in his last four innings. After Masakadza lost his opening partner, Vusi Sibanda, to a run out, a partnership of 48 in 32 deliveries with his captain Taylor helped Zimbabwe to weather the early breakthrough and briefly keep the ascendancy. Taylor contributed watchful 38s in Zimbabwe's previous two wins, holding the middle order together, but with his side seemingly assured of a place in Sunday's final he chose to take the attack to the bowlers.Taylor raced to 27 from just 12 balls but then played one shot too many, a top-edged hoick ending up in Mahmudullah's hands at deep midwicket. Taylor's dismissal meant that Zimbabwe's middle order, which hasn't really been tested yet in this series, were offered the chance for some time in the middle. Craig Ervine couldn't make anything of the opportunity, however, as his dreadful run with the bat continued when he played outside the line of a Mahmudullah straight-break to depart for a golden duck. While Masakadza remained Zimbabwe still looked like passing 160, and he was cheered to a 47-ball fifty in the 15th over. The crowds attending the matches at Harare Sports Club have swelled as Zimbabwe racked up consecutive wins, and a particularly noisy rabble around Castle Corner kept warm on a wintry afternoon with choruses of exuberant and vocal support. Once Masakadza was prised out by Mortaza, however, they had much less cause to celebrate.

Zimbabwe Score :  149 for 8 (Masakadza 56, Mortaza 2-28)
Bangladesh Score :153 for 4 (Nasir 41*)

Nasri Positive Ahead Of Spain Clash

Samir Nasri has been more impressed by Germany than Spain
Nasri The Mid-fielder Of France Has Insisted that His Side Will Get Enough room to Play Against Spain As They Believe For Causing An Upset By Defeating Up Spain.Nasri dismissed suggestions that facing Vicente del Bosque’s defending champions was an impossible task, saying he did not even believe they were the favourites to win the tournament.France went through to the quarter-finals despite suffering defeat - and putting in a disappointing performance - in their final Group D game against Sweden.Goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who struck in spectacular style, and Sebastian Larsson defeated Laurent Blanc’s side, ending their 23-game unbeaten run. However, Nasri said: “Spain and Italy are both hard to play against and, in my opinion, the Italians are harder to play against as they line up with five defenders and three defensive midfielders who push up.“Spain like to play football, but France has always done well against the Spanish in a major tournament. We might get more room against the Spanish.“Qualifying for the quarter-finals gives us confidence and we will try and cause an upset. I don't think Spain are favourites for the tournament - the Germans have impressed me the most.”He said the unbeaten run “had to end some time”, adding that it was better to have lost it in a situation that saw them make progress despite being beaten. And he urged fans to remain realistic about what France - in such chaos at the 2010 World Cup - had achieved, adding: “If people had said two years ago we would be in the quarter-finals of the European Championship, we would have signed up for that right away, so we can't complain.”His team-mate Yohan Cabaye, however, was more guarded about the prospect of facing the Spanish on Saturday, saying: “Spain are the best team in the world - we are going to have to play like it is the final.“If we play like we did against Sweden we haven't got any chance of beating Spain. We know this.”

Rosicky Fit for Portugal Clash

Rosicky, The Captain Of Czech Republic Has returned To Training And Is fit for Quarter-Final Clash Against Portugal.Arsenal midfielder Rosicky returned to Prague for treatment after  sustaining an Achilles injury during the victory over Greece on June 12, but he rejoined the team on Tuesday and was able to take part in Wednesday’s training session.Team manager Vladimir Smicer had earlier indicated there was very little prospect of Rosicky starting against Portugal."Will he be able to play from the start? I don't think so," Smicer told agency CTK. "He hasn't trained for eight days, only doing some work on a bike. In order for him to play in such a tough match, he should at the very least have had three full training sessions in order to be 100% ready.”Daniel Kolar started in Rosicky’s absence in the 1-0 victory over Poland that saw Czech Republic through to the knock-out phase.

Zimbabwe Shocks South-Africa In 3rd match of tri-Series

Hamilton Masakadza was involved in a century opening stand that helped set up Zimbabwe's 29-run win against South Africa in Harare
Zimbabwe Defeated South-Africa In tri-Series T20 Happening in Zimbabwe as Zimbabwe seemed to surprise even themselves with an effort that started with a century stand between Vusi Sibanda and Hamilton Masakadza, and ended with superb bowling from the senior statesman Chris Mpofu, legspinner Graeme Cremer and new-comer Richard Muzhange. South Africa's attack, as they were yesterday, failed to take early wickets or find the right lengths on a slow surface. Unlike the match against Bangladesh, their batting was also sub-standard. They succumbed in the chase to a bowling pack that understood their own conditions and were able to restrict runs, create pressure and bowl out a line-up that was expected to produce much more. After allowing Zimbabwe to reach an above-par score, South Africa's batting line-up had a fairly tough task on a pitch that is known to get slower as the day goes on. Senior paceman Chris Mpofu immediately found the right tempo but Kyle Jarvis was unable to do the same from the other side. He bowled too wide of offstump, allowing both Hashim Amla and Richard Levi to find the boundary.Mpofu made up for Jarvis' early blunders when he removed Amla with a slower ball that was mis-timed to Masakadza at mid-on. He would have had Colin Ingram out as well, but Vusi Sibanda spilled a catch at fine leg.Ingram went on to make Zimbabwe pay and was South Africa's top-scorer with his 48, an innings that was built on the cut shot. While Levi was with him, South Africa seemed in control. Jarvis fed Levi sumptuous full tosses while Ingram moved his feet well against the spinners. Prosper Utseya put the brakes on their charge when he had Levi caught at deep midwicket by Craig Ervine, as the batsman attempted to clear the rope.South Africa's middle-order was exposed and they did not cover themselves in glory. Justin Ontong gifted a catch to Utseya in the covers off Cremer, before the googly accounted for both Dane Vilas, who was bowled, and JP Duminy, who was stumped. South Africa teetered at 91 for 5 and it was up to Albie Morkel to haul them back.He clubbed a six of Cremer's last over but again did not produce the expected fireworks. Muzhange removed Morkel by inviting him to chase a wide and having him caught behind. Robin Peterson and Ingram both skied desperate shots off Mpofu's final over and all that was left for Zimbabwe to do was nip out the tail. Jarvis bowled Tsotsobe to earn some redemption and a memorable victory for his team, which excelled in all disciplines. With the bat, Masakadza and Sibanda gave Zimbabwe a dream start. Boundaries were not the hallmark of the duo's stand, although when they found them, they found them well. Sibanda signalled their intent when he slog-swept Lonwabo Tsotsobe over backward-square leg at the end of the second over. The pair ran well between the wickets and did not allow the run-rate to stagnate when South Africa's spinners came on after the Powerplay. Although JP Duminy and Peterson had more success in controlling proceedings, Zimbabwe's rotation of strike ensured they continued to build. Once comfortable, they batsmen even took on the spinners. Sibanda hit Peterson onto the roof of Harare Sports Club while Masakadza brought up his 50 with a meaty blow over long-on off Justin Ontong.Masakadza was out shortly afterwards as South Africa's first success came in the 14th over. He attempted the slog-sweep but top-edged to deep midwicket. Sibanda was dropped off the first ball of Parnell's second over, when he swung to Richard Levi at long-on, but the mistake was not too costly. After one more pull shot, which went for four, Sibanda swung hard and offered Tsotsobe a catch at third man.Elton Chigumbura, who was moved up the order to No.3, holed out to the first ball he faced but Zimbabwe rebuilt well. Brendan Taylor withstood a barrage of slower bouncers from Morkel and eventually lashed out. His slog sweep to long-on and would have been caught had Ontong held on, but he palmed it over for six. Taylor launched an assault on Parnell and took 17 runs off the left-armer's third over, which proved a major part of the difference between the two sides.

Zimbabwe Score : 176 for 4 (Sibanda 58, Masakadza 55, Parnell 2-33)
South-Africa Score : 147  (Ingram 48, Levi 40, Mpofu 3-20, Cremer3-29)

Shahid Afridi Might Consider Retirement In Mid-July

Shahid Afridi: I must sincerely review my performance (in ODI cricket)
Shahid Afridi Might Consider Retirement After A poor Show In Sri-Lanka ODI's with His Bat and Ball.He said that he would reassess his future after the team returned home from Sri Lanka in mid-July. "People expect a lot from senior players, so I must sincerely review my performance [in ODI cricket]," . "I want to step aside for new players [to come through], so that Pakistan can build a good team for the 2015 World Cup. But I must, first, check if anyone is ready to take my place in the team, so that my retirement won't be unfair to the team."Afridi, who was dismissed for scores of 2, 17, 0 and 9 in the ODIs against Sri Lanka, said that even if he retired from ODI's, he would still continue playing the Twenty20 format. "[I had decided that] the day I became a burden to cricket I would walk away [from the game]. I am considering [whether or not to retire from ODIs] and would consult some senior players and friends before making a decision. But even if I retire from ODI's I will continue to play Twenty20 cricket."Pakistan were shoddy in the field, in the ODI's, with several dropped catches and missed run-out opportunities, allowing Sri Lanka to gain the upper hand. Afridi attributed the 3-1 series loss to poor fielding. "Fielding has been our weakness ever since I started playing cricket," he said. "We didn't play as we expected, but Sri Lanka were strong in their own conditions. They used the conditions very well."In the past Afridi had announced his retirement on a number of occasions. First, in 2006, he decided to take a temporary sabbatical from Test cricket to concentrate on ODIs. Then in 2010, he announced his Test retirement after Pakistan lost the first Test against Australia at Lord's. A year later he announced a "conditional" retirement from international cricket to protest against the way he was "humiliated" by the PCB, who had stripped him of his ODI captaincy.

The Mid-Fielder Of Spurs Luka Modric Is Set to leave, And Has been Linked Heavily To Manchester United And Real Madrid.Modric is believed to be Man Utd manager Sir Alex Ferguson's top summer transfer target, while Chelsea and Manchester City have also shown interest in him over the past year. The 26-year-old is widely expected to be on the move during the summer transfer window as he is keen on joining a club who will be playing in the Champions League next season.Spain's assistant coach Paco Jimenez last week claimed Barcelona scouts were keeping tabs on the Croatia international during Euro 2012, while Modric's friend and former international team-mate, Mate Bilic, at the weekend fuelled speculation that a move to Spain is likely to happen this summer by claiming the midfielder is keen on securing a move to La Liga. However Man Utd are still thought to be front runners in the race to sign Modric, and Corluka, who is expected to leave White Hart Lane this summer and turn his loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen into a permanent deal, believes the former Dinamo Zagreb star could also be on his way out of north London."We all know it will be very difficult for Spurs to keep Luka because they do not have Champions League football next season," he said."Luka is one of the best players in the world and the kind who wants to play in the best competition."Not getting into the Champions League will cost Spurs next season. Even though they were unlucky to get fourth place and still not be there."I have followed the stories about Luka moving and that is just a reflection of what a great player he is."He showed some loyalty by staying at Spurs last season when other teams wanted him. I only wish Luka the best. If he wants to go fine."

The Ivorian Seals Join to Shanghai Shenhua

The Ivorian Didier Drogba Who Was the Hero For Chelsea Vs Bayern Munich At Champions League Final is Set to Join Shanghai Shenhua And will Reunite Nicolas Anelka who left the Blues along with Brazilian defender Alex, is the assistant manager at Shenhua. Didier's move to Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua is reportedly a 2year deal worth £200,000.The announcement ends months of speculation about the move, in which the striker will become China’s best paid player with weekly pay of 200,000 pounds (US$314,000), according to reports, and join ex-Chelsea teammate Nicolas Anelka.“Today I can inform you that I have signed with Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua FC for a two-and-a-half year deal (until the end of 2014),” Drogba, 34, said on his website. “I will fly out to join up with the squad in July.”Shanghai Shenhua posted a picture of Drogba wearing the team’s blue shirt – similar to Chelsea’s – on its website, and confirmed the deal in a brief statement.Alongside Anelka, who joined Shenhua in January, Drogba will form a feared strike-force in the Chinese league, which has shrugged off years of corruption scandals with a spending spree on coaches and players.Reigning champions Guangzhou Evergrande are spearheaded by imported South American talent, and they pulled off a coup by snaring the services of World Cup-winning Italian coach Marcello Lippi in May.Shenhua, bankrolled by colourful video-game tycoon Zhu Jun, are in need of a boost as they currently lie 12th of 16 teams, with just three wins in 13 games this season. And Drogba underlined his reputation as one of the English Premiership’s most lethal strikers with a match-winning role in last month’s Champions League final. The imposing target man said he had received other offers but Shanghai “is the right move for me at this time”, adding that he was encouraged by Chelsea’s promotional visit to China last year.“I am looking forward to a new challenge and to experiencing a new culture, and I am excited about the new developments in the Chinese Super League,” he said.“When Chelsea went to China last year, we had a great time and I met some amazing fans.” He added: “I hope to help promote Chinese football around the world and further improve the links between China and Africa.”Drogba will hope for a smoother start in Shanghai than Anelka, who was disaffected by management changes after coach Jean Tigana’s quickfire sacking in April, and reportedly threatened to quit the club.
